Progress - As of August 2013 CB750

So I haven't posted a progress update for a while. It has been bat shit crazy. I have been looking really hard for a new job. left town on a couple vacations. One being sturgis and another being a family vacation up to northern MN. With all that being said I have not made any progress in August with the exception of pre strugis. So it's getting close but probably wont have it done for this summer unless I seal the deal on a new job which I am very very close at this week.

Well This was my first year but my young pal Timmy said it was pretty bitchin in previous years so I had high expectations. I would have loved to stay longer but with the exception of Sturgis it was the best quality show I have been to. Enough jibber jabber. Hers the pics.

This is as far as I can take it for the time being. I have some more ideas for her but those will have to wait for colder weather...

SEAT is COMPLETE

So I don't even have it back yet but a coupel weeks agao I gave my seat pan and three pieces of leather to my mom. I had already cut out the patterns and inlayed a panel with stiches in the top but I just got a a pick of the seat with the covered laid out over the top of the seat pan and it looks like Ma pulled it off big tie. I can't wait to get it in hand and stretch, glue and fasten it to the pan!

Time for some Rembrandt/Picasso shit to go down

I need some paint BAD... So everything is now at the Tin Sieve and Tim is gonna get it painted. I have no clue what color scheme or colors in general that he is using but I know it's gonna be flat paint. Thats it, everything else, color design all of it will be his vision/design. I am gitty like a little boy the night before Christmas.

I don't know what it is about this Less Than Jake song. I have been listening to it for over ten years and everytime I hear it I run over to my PC and replay it a few times... Best song ever!!!!! Yep I just listened to it again a few times...

Tin Sieve

Finally had a beautiful night so we all went out to the Tin Sieve and got some work done on the trailer, reshaped my seat and read some shop diagrams.

I finished the stitching cut soe side panels and sent it off to have them sewn on.

New T-shirt design

This year we pay tribute to a garage close to each of our hearts... Let me know if you could use a copy. Shirt color is called "sand" and is basically an off white.

CB 750 Progress

Didnt like the look of the front fork brace so that got pulled. Finished the fab work on the battery box and installed the starter switch. been working a little on the seat cover. So here is where it sits right now.

Chopper Vid

This bike is killer but it also looks deathly to ride. Getting that rake and trail corrected would be worth a million. He needs a sugar bear springer to correct it.

Flask - Leather work

My Bro gave me a nice flask for his wedding but the etched front label with my innitials fell off so I figured I would give it a facelift and this is what I came up with. It still needs some dye and then I will glue it on.

Progress - CB750

Well we made some more progress. Pops and I got the oil bag and batter box mounts made. Turned out really nice. Drill a couple drain holes in the battery box. Make a leather strap and paint it and they are done. next up exhaust, Brake light/plate mount and a kicker pedal.

Donnie Smith show 2013

Well this was probably the best year of the Donnie Smith show I have every been to. Back ten years ago I had entered a bike and I had a lot of fun and that was when choppers were in their prime. That was fun as well but this year the trend was clearly old school choppers and bobbers and Baggers. In my opinion these are both great bikes. It's nice to see baggers looking good. although I am into the old school bikes these were still nice to see. There were only a few of the new style chops and they just don't do anything for me. We had our share of booze and stayed sober enough to snap a few picks. Only part that sucked was some douchenozel didn't want to sell me a brake light at the swap and told me it would cost $500 for it. That was pretty humorous...
