Inspiration...

Stopped at the local Walmart last night and picked up a few odds and ends. I made my usual stop at the magazine isle and had quite the conundrum on my hands! After careful consideration the this issue edged out the current issue of rat rodz. As fate would have it this mag has left me motivated for some choppin. If only I had someone to ride with come spring time... BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop

Way back when

Here are some pictures of back when motorcycling for me was new. Shell and I didn't have good supplies. We slept in a cheap tent that was too small and leaked with maybe one sleeping bag, a cheap blanket and never had a pad inbetween us and the ground. I didn't even own a leather jacket. We didn't have chaps or full faced helmets. No hand warmers, windsheilds, floor boards or big plush ride. We had open face helmets and a little 750 V-twin Honda. I had just got a set of throw-over saddle bags (wish I still had them) Sure we would have loved all of that comfort stuff, not being sore after a ride, staying warm and having some peace and quiet behind a whindsheild, maybe cruising to some tunes and never really feeling uncomfortable would have made the ride more enjoyable but... I have noticed that when I got those comforting things I still enjoyed the ride but it wasn't the same. I didn't remember how cold it was or even what the weather was like. It dulled the memories of the trips a little. Sometimes, when the trip is challenging and sometimes even painful it made for a better adventure. The tough rides are what I love to look back on.

Already the CB has been tainted!!!

I need to ride

It has been so long now. I took a short cruse on Tim's Honda CB400 and that was a blast but I am really itching to get on the road. It's going to be a long winter. Hopefully just long enough to get my bike together for next year.

Progress - slow and steady wins the race

So here is my current progress on the CB750. I haven't made any significant progress but it's something. An hour here and there when I can.

CB750 motor

Well, I have been cleaning... Nothing fancy and barely worth writing about. But it has been interesting going over this motor. I have found a lot of pieces that have intrigued me. Pretty cool how the oil pan has a load of extra fins for cooling. Something about old, air cooled motors that just have so much personality.

The Tin Sieve

Everytime I go there I end up drunk as a skunk. I swear I can't go there and just chillout. It's always party time at the Tin Sieve! That must be why I like going there so much...

This week it was 40 or so rounds down range. Many-ah beer cans lost there lives that day. Pabst with a few Cheladas and to top off the night I had a couple really cheap whiskey and cokes. Uggg 5 AM came really quick the next day.

I call this image "Six pack'O Cat" That's Tims new cat. She was actually a very good cat and for all you cat lovers out there, I removed the plastic right after the pic.
